Our client a B2C media company are currently looking to hire an experienced Advertising Manager/Senior Account Manager to join the team.

Job Description

Our client seeks an Advertising Manager/Senior Account Manager to join their growing business based on the Caledonian Rd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of their highly successful magazines within Aviation sector which also includes the digital offerings.

This is a varied and exciting role perfect for someone with prior publishing or media sales experience who is looking for the autonomy to build on their own skills whilst identifying new ideas and opportunities to aid the development of the business.


  • Generating and maximising sales opportunities over the phone and face to face
  • Building and maintaining client relationships, existing and new
  • Keeping up to date with all competitors
  • Liaising with clients (new & existing) to upsell and implement products as part of their key advertising strategies
  • Attending a number of exhibitions/conferences throughout the year
  • Meeting and exceeding targets set by the publisher
  • Showing initiative and strong organisational skills
  • Update our inhouse CRM system on a daily basis
  • Work closely with the Publisher across all elements of the portfolio

  • Good commercial skills & experience of selling over the phone and face to face

  • Good negotiation skills
  • A natural interest in media, marketing & communications is essential
  • Experience of selling across a portfolio
  • Personable - able to motivate & inspire a team towards hitting their targets & KPI's
  • Literate & numerate - able to forecast & report effectively; develop & implement a sales strategy
  • Experience of identifying new revenue streams and developing new business
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients
